On
a fine day as it often is in the fizz and sparkle of Spain
Come with me on a visit, allow me to explain
Tuck your phrase book in your pocket, simple statements so sincere
Tranquillo, tongue tied linguist, English- she is spoken here
Take a left at Puerto Lope (right from the other way)
Then up and over the olive grove- it’s another library day
Now Mondays could mean shopping, Tuesdays tapas is for me
Though Miercoles means Monte Sol, and biscuits with my tea
Meeting people, greeting people from their Spanish homes
It’s opening time in Monte Sol, bring out your borrowed tomes
Books, magazines, and raffles, homemade cakes, DVD’s
Something here to catch your eye, something here to please
Monte Sol is Monte Sunshine, a bright day in my week
So let some sunshine in your life- you could find what you seek
Feel a little bookish, need a little cheer?
Shake out your dusty spouses and bring them over here
Point them at the library- wipe glumness from their dial
MonteSol is open… come inside and smile!
