TAKE TWO

CUATRO VIENTOS & EL JALEO

I´m pleased to say that having only opened a few month´s ago it seems that both of the two new bars and restaurants situated opposite Diego’s builder´s Merchants (Iznájeños), just outside Iznájar, are doing very well. I´m informed that the larger of the two, Cuatro Vientos (The Four Winds) is owned and run by a member of Antonio´s family of Bar Rosi. The smaller bar of the two, El Jaleo, is run by a local young couple who I must say, in my opinion, serve very good tapas and they could not have been more helpful the times that we, and our friends, have visited.

Both establishments have large terraces to the front of the restaurants, which I hope, weather permitting, we will be able to use a few more times this year. Cuatro Vientos has a good selection of dishes which are accompanied by photos, so if like some of us whose Spanish is not as good as others, you will still be able to manage to communicate and get your order right!!! Not being a restaurant critic but a local who likes good value for money I have to say that we have thoroughly enjoyed our evenings on the terraces of these two new bars of Iznájar.

Keri and Gordon Vincent will be back next month with the regular month review.
